Our Services
Pool owners in Escondido and surrounding areas deal with a lot: summer heat that burns through chlorine fast, Santa Ana winds that load up debris overnight, and hard water that takes a toll on equipment over time. Staying ahead of all of it takes more than an occasional visit.
Every service at De Luna Pools is performed directly by the owner, Jonathan Luna. You'll receive a detailed report with photos after every single visit so you always know what was done and why.
Here's what we take care of:
Weekly Pool Cleaning
There's a lot more to a proper pool cleaning than most homeowners realize, and the difference shows up fast when any step gets skipped. Each visit includes:
Skimming the surface to remove leaves, insects, and debris before they sink and stain
Brushing the walls, steps, and tile line to break up early-stage algae and mineral buildup
Vacuuming the pool floor to clear settled debris that skimming can't reach
Emptying the skimmer and pump baskets to protect water flow and equipment
Inspecting the pump, filter, and other equipment for early signs of issues
Testing and balancing all water chemistry parameters, not just chlorine
After every appointment, you'll receive a service report with photos and a summary of what was done. No surprises, no guesswork about whether your pool was actually serviced.
We offer two service tiers to fit different pools and budgets. Reach out and we'll go over which one makes sense for your setup.
Water Chemistry and Analysis
Pool water chemistry is more involved than most people expect. pH, total alkalinity, cyanuric acid, and calcium hardness all affect each other. Get one of them off, and the others tend to follow.
We test many parameters on each visit and make adjustments as needed. We also use natural minerals and enzymes to reduce overall chlorine demand while keeping your water algae-free and clear. The result is water that's more comfortable to swim in and gentler on your equipment over time.
Hard water is a particular challenge in North San Diego County. High calcium levels cause scaling on your tile line and inside your equipment, and it builds up quietly over months. We monitor for it and treat it accordingly, before it gets out of hand.
Equipment Maintenance
Most pool equipment problems don't appear overnight. They build gradually, and a technician who's paying attention will catch them before they become expensive.
On every visit, we check filter pressure, inspect the pump and motor, and watch for any signs of wear or reduced performance. In Escondido summers especially, equipment gets pushed hard for months at a stretch. Small issues that could wait in March can escalate quickly in July.
When something needs attention, we'll tell you what it is, why it matters, and what it's going to take to fix it. No pressure, and no recommendations for things your pool doesn't actually need. We service and install all major brands, including Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy/Zodiac.
